I was born in Salvador da Bahia, Brazil. It’s the city of Capoeira, the story of Africa and Europe meeting under the South American sky. My childhood and teenage years were influenced by the richness of Brazilian music, its rhythm, energy and beauty. I began to love music as a child with my older sister.

She took me to bossa nova concerts and I was always amazed by the melodies and the beauty of the lyrics. I was passionate about the voices and the guitar sounds. So I started to sing and work on my own songs. My mother helped me a lot because she also sang with my grandmother when she was little. Singing warms my heart and makes me see life more beautifully. At the same time, the city’s violence and lack of opportunity led me to escape, to explore the world — and now I’m never landing.

At 17 I traveled by myself to New York City to learn English. I fell in love with the city, everything was so different for me. When I went back to Brazil I was a completely different person, and was more in touch with my musical talents. I started taking voice lessons and performing. But I never liked staying in one place for too long. I needed to see more of the world and collect more experiences. For two years I worked and traveled around the world. I saw amazing places in Asia, Africa, the Middle East and Europe.

Now, I’m in Paris - it's such a dark yet hopeful time. For me, it’s a new beginning. I’m singing and have recorded my first EP, which is coming out now. I’m sure many great adventures and success lie ahead.
